It is fascinating that databanks of peoples DNA exist now for genealogists who wish to verify their relationships. The material is never used to prove if two people are really siblings but whether two families share DNA "roots." What a boon for die-hard genealogists who just can't prove that last connection. People bank their DNA and the companies match up people who both want to participate. It's a creative use of the genome explosion.
